Bird Walk at Kah Tai Lagoon Nature Park

Welcome the return of Spring with a birding walk at Kah Tai Lagoon Nature Park. Emphasis will be towards birds on the water, although Spring songbirds will undoubtedly garner attention trailside.
Expected species on the water may include Canada Geese, Mallards, American Wigeons, Gadwalls, Lesser Scaups, Teals, Northern Shovelers, Common Goldeneyes, Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, Ruddy Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, American Coots and Pied-billed Grebes.

Meet in the main parking area near the caretaker site and bathroom. Late arrivals are welcome to find the group along the trail, waterside. Layer clothing for varied Springtime weather. Bring binoculars and/or a scope if you have one. Excessive winds/steady rains cancel.

Please help keep our birding community safe and look to join on a future outing if you have COVID or COVID-like symptoms and/or known exposure …or other flu-like/illness. Feel free to reach out to leader Miranda Maxwell at mlmolympics@hotmail.com with any questions.
