Join fellow birders for a seasonal Fall time walk through Kah Tai Lagoon Park, highlighting returning waterfowl on the water. Focus will be on water birds, but trailside songbirds are always welcomed. Expected species on the water include Canada Geese, Mallards, American Wigeons, Gadwalls, Lesser Scaups, Teals, Northern Shovelers, Northern Pintails, Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, Ruddy Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, as well as American Coots and Pied-billed Grebes.
Meet in the main parking area near the caretaker site and bathroom building. Bring layers for variable Fall time weather and binoculars and/or a scope if you have one. Excessive winds/rains cancel. Please help keep our birding community safe and look to join on a future outing if you have COVID or COVID-like symptoms and/or known exposure or other flu-like illness. Feel free to reach out to trip leader Miranda Maxwell at mlmolympics@hotmail.com with any questions. Looking forward to birding together on a beautiful Fall weekend!
