Join fellow birders for a Fall time wander through Kah Tai Lagoon Park, highlighting returning waterfowl on the water. Meet at the main parking area near the RV park host and bathroom. Focus will be on water birds, but trailside songbirds and lingering shorebirds along the mudbanks will add to the day’s birding list.
Expected species on the water include Canada Geese, Mallards, American Wigeons, Gadwalls, Teals, Northern Shovelers, Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, Hooded Mergansers, as well as American Coots and Pied-billed Grebes.
Bring layers for Fall time weather and binoculars and/or a scope if you have one. Excessive winds/ rains cancel. Please help keep our birding community safe and look to join on a future outing if you have COVID or COVID-like symptoms and/or known exposure …or other flu-like illness. Feel free to reach out to trip leader Miranda Maxwell at mlmolympics@hotmail.com with any questions. Looking forward to birding together on a beautiful Fall weekend!
