AAS members Barry McKenzie and Steve Hampton traveled to South Georgia and Antarctica in October 2023. In this talk, they will describe their adventure, share images and videos, as well as discuss Avian Influenza that has now arrived in the extreme southern latitudes. They’ll share practical insights for those that would like to make a similar trip someday (and who wouldn’t?).
